Help for the Hot Seat – Test Drive!

It’s known as a “circulator seat pad” (made by H-D) and it is wonderful. A seat pad that promotes air movement and reduces heat build-up. I had read about a seat pad that was capable of reducing heat build-up when the body touches the seat, and I’ll admit, I was skeptical.

One hot summer day a few years ago in Gettysburg, PA it was really hot. When I say hot, think 100 degrees or as Eugene so aptly stated in Biloxi Blues, “It’s like Africa hot. Tarzan couldn’t take this kind of hot.” Well, that’s exactly what I was thinking on this particular day when we stopped by Battlefield Harley-Davidson in Gettysburg, PA.

I purchased the circulator seat pad, put it on my Street Bob and headed East. Yes, it did promote air movement. On that particular day, I was already overheated. On a fresh day, it does reduce heat build up. Now, I take it everywhere.

Another handy use, should my bike seat get wet from a rain shower, I put the circulator seat pad on it and it protects those parts that touch the seat from getting damp.

If you are riding on a circulator seat pad or have tried one, please leave a review. I look forward to your review!

I always enjoy reading the articles you bring me in the magazine. And these are very educational and interesting, as well. I even thought outside the box … That would be nice to have on a hot day on leather car seat!

When I am driving or just setting on the front porch and I am watching motor cyclists ride by, I very often think “think need to be in Donna’s safety class!!!

And the hearing protection. I never would of thought of that either.

I think you are doing a fantastic job of educating and informing your peers and friends. And even for those like me who do not ride. Keep the awesome and fun information coming.
